Brian Diamond built day9.coffee because he kept drinking great coffee on day 14 and forgettable coffee on day 4. After enough cycles of watching expensive beans pass through their peak window unnoticed, he built the freshness tracker he wished existed: roast-date logging, peak-window alerts at days 7 and 9, post-peak warnings at day 14. The Smart Coffee Lid hardware came next. day9 is opinionated — every feature is something Brian wanted personally before he turned it into a product.
