Delete Your day9 Account
You can delete your day9 account and all associated data at any time. Choose the option that works for you below.
From within the day9 app (recommended)
- Open the day9 app on your iPhone or Android device
- Tap the Settings icon
- Scroll down to Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and all data are removed immediately. You will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account.
By email (if you can't access the app)
If you cannot access the app — for example, you no longer have the device — you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email to hello@day9.coffee

We process email deletion requests within 7 days and confirm via reply.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your email address
- All coffee bag entries (roast dates, names, notes, storage preferences)
- Notification preferences and history
- Affiliate link click history
- Any account-related metadata (creation date, last login, etc.)
What is retained
The following limited data may be retained for legal, accounting, or operational requirements:
- Transactional email logs — Retained by our email service provider for up to 90 days, as required by their compliance policies. These logs contain delivery records (send time, delivery status) but not message content.
- Aggregate anonymized analytics — Statistical data about app usage (e.g., "1,200 users tracked bags this week") that contains no personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you.
No personally identifiable information is retained after account deletion.
Partial deletion (individual bags)
If you want to remove individual bag entries without deleting your entire account, you can do this directly from within the app:
- Open the bag you want to remove
- Tap the menu icon (top right)
- Tap Delete bag
- Confirm
