Marika's Coffee is Zambia's flagship specialty roaster, founded 2007 in Lusaka by Finnish-born Q-grader Teija Kuusela Lublinkhof — one of only 49 Coffee Quality Institute assistant instructors globally and a head judge at the World Barista Championship. She started Zambia National Barista Championships the same year with the Coffee Growers Association of Zambia, after a decade as Coffee Quality and Marketing Manager at Munali Coffee Estate (Mubuyu Farm, Munali Hills) where she developed Munali into Intelligentsia's first Zambian source.
Zambia is a tea-drinking country with thin coffee infrastructure; Munali Coffee was the first Zambian estate to crack export to Intelligentsia, and Marika's Coffee — under the Peaberry Coffee Roasters operating company — is the in-country specialty platform that made Zambian coffee visible domestically. Lublinkhof's Q-grader and WBC judging credentials anchor Zambia's representation in international specialty coffee evaluation.
