Wyndhams Coffee is Barbados's only dedicated specialty coffee roaster, founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team Mandy and Dominic Wyndham-Gittens. The roastery runs a 12kg Diedrich operated by Jalisa Als — the country's first female head roaster — and combines its own roasting program with La Marzocco, Rancilio, and Lavazza distribution for the Barbadian market.
In a tiny island market dominated by Italian and American chain imports — and where high regional tariffs make intra-Caribbean coffee trade hard — Wyndhams is doing the slow work of building a third-wave specialty operation from scratch, and putting Bajan storytelling into the cup as it goes.
