Vesta Coffee Roasters
Vesta Coffee Roasters roasts in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Since 2015 · Jerad Howard
Overview
Vesta was founded in 2015 by Jerad Howard (also credited as Jerad Jay) as a home-roasting operation in his downtown Las Vegas kitchen on a micro drum roaster, after a 'dead-end job' epiphany about specialty coffee. Now operating four Las Vegas cafes, an in-house bakery producing organic sourdough and laminated croissants, and wholesale distribution into Whole Foods and Sprouts nationwide, Vesta is the first Nevada roaster to break out of the desert market into national grocery.
Known for
- Nevada's first nationally distributed specialty roaster
- 98%+ scratch-made cafe menu
- World-class in-house bakery (sourdough, brioche, laminated croissants)
- Costa Rica direct trade relationship with Carlos Montero / Selva Coffee
- Drive-thru cafe at Sahara/Ft. Apache Summerlin location
Why it matters
Vesta is Nevada's flagship specialty operator and a rare Las Vegas-based brand that scaled cafe-quality coffee plus bakery into national grocery distribution — proving the desert specialty model that earlier Arizona pioneers like Cartel built on.
